Sustainably designed ecological retail and commercial building in Malaysia. Green buildings are faced with global environmental challenges and needs of local residents. Their motive is to ensure the planning of actual use, with minimal impact on the environment. It makes use of local materials and renewable resources like wood and stone floor. These buildings to ensure low power consumption. Malaysian architect Ken Yeang and Tengku Robert Hamzah have developed as a sustainable development plan for a “retail commercial building and green design,” which was designed to Putrajaya in Malaysia. The design, which won the bronze medal Holcim Awards 2011, is an epitome of sustainable development.

The design is an amalgam of complex, more dignified and integrating green technologies that are more suitable for the use of superior quality. Located in the main hall of Malaysia, which in itself is a planned city. It is located 25 km south of the capital Kuala Lumpur. This building is considered a response with one hand and imaginative designs that the initial cost of the construction market. The perfect blend of high technology with elements of the assimilation of the vegetation that gives an immense space which in turn meets the requirements of the climate of the city. The building has two towers are connected by a bridge and a public atrium. The building’s form is such that it gives you more space and a welcoming atmosphere for visitors. A strip of double-skin is a series of activities such as improved thermal presentation, ensuring good ventilation and gives traditional design models of Malaya.

To minimize the consumption patterns of energy rating were used in the design of lighting systems that meet the economic demands of the elite around. Although vegetation is to put a little green, wastewater is captured and treated to reduce the demand for fresh water.

The building includes many sustainable strategies to the environment to ensure a reduction in carbon footprint of the building. The whole structure is designed and built to high environmental standards and therefore contributes to the conservation of scarce resources such as energy and fresh water. Moreover, the structure is built with materials of low environmental impact.
